The Boys’ Brigade of Zambia, Ndola South district Patron has challenged the Boys’ Brigade of Zambia to help government in the fight against drug abuse by youths in the Community. Mr Kephas Katongo challenged churches to go beyond their boundaries and bring as many people to Christ. He further wondered why Christians would be comfortable within their church buildings when a lot of people in the communities were lacking Christ and salvation. While quoting from John 14:2 (My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?), the devoted patron challenged all Christians to ensure the congregations were packed to capacity through evangelism. Mr Katongo was speaking at the Induction ceremony of Rev Ray Mumba as the Boys’ Brigade of Zambia, Ndola North district Chaplain. At the same occasion, Dr Adams Zulu and Mr Orleans Kamanga were inducted as Ndola North District Patrons. Others who were inducted were Boys Brigade officials for Ndola North District. In his homily, the presiding clergy at Grace Ministries Worship Centre in Ndola, Bishop Dr Newton Mulenga challenged Christians to take up the work of the Lord and defend the Christian Faith. He reminded the congregants to understand the importance of standing up as 'Sons' in the house of the Lord and speak against evil. Rev. Ray Mumba becomes the first ever District Chaplain for The Boys’ Brigade of Zambia, Ndola North district.
